You should look at the comparative adjectives lesson before you study superlative adjectives.
Julie is the shortest student in the class.
This means no one is shorter than Julie. We use superlative adjectives to say one thing is the most/least in a group of three or more.
How to make Superlative Adjectives
Add est to one-syllable adjectives. If it ends in e, just add st. If it ends in vowel + consonant, add consonant + est.

| big | bigger | the biggest |
If the adjective ends in y, remove the y and add iest.

If the adjective has two or more syllables, add most.

There are also some irregular adjectives to remember:

| far | further | the furthest |
Don't forget: you usually need the before the superlative.
My sister is the most beautiful woman in the world.
We often use a superlative with the present perfect.
She's the nicest person I've ever met.
